The Harrison County courthouse was built in 1964 of brick and concrete in Contemporary design. The architect was Turnbill, Inc. and A.P. Kasch & Sons constructed it for $1,215,000.00. The preceding courthouse still stands down the street serving as a museum. This 1900 courthouse was designed by J. Riely Gordon and built of granite and marble in Renaissance Revival style.
