Bowie County

The Bowie County courthouse was built in 1985 in Contemporary style of concrete and glass while the architectural firm of Thomas & Embeton designed it. The previous 1891 courthouse, situated in nearby Old Boston, burned in 1987 after sitting empty for several years.
